Black Belt Women Rising hosts Together Alabama: Preparing Communities for Extreme Weather

The People's Justice Council and Auburn University partnered with Black Belt Women Rising to help Uniontown, Alabama stay safe and healthy for extreme heat events. Thanks to a grant from the CDC Foundation, Together Alabama: Preparing Communities for Extreme Weather has donated its second 250-gallon Water Monster hydration station to a frontline community. On a day with near-record-high temperatures, representatives from all three partner organizations collected citizen survey information and handed out information about staying safe in extreme heat.
